Ah, Wal Mart, how do I adore thee?? Let me count the ways. Not only do you allow me to shop for school craft supplies, a car stereo for Sassy for Christmas, a curling iron for Bitchy and that game for the Playstation for Golden Boy, I can also stock up on my HUGE supply of Ramen Noodles!!!
And NOW, did you know that Walmart can help you with a Christmas Dinner for Eight for as low as $20 and the New Year’s Eve meal for 10 under $40 as well as the ways you are saving time and money during holiday planning? Have you seen the commercials on TV???? They want to know what some of your best tips and tricks are? Do you have any favorite holiday meal memories or a special dish that you prepare every year? If you go to this website, and come back and leave a comment, I will enter you to win one of two $30.00 gift cards.
I will draw a lucky winner Monday using nothing but a stick with a piece of tape on the end, and will ship the card in the mail THAT DAY! It should get to you before Christmas, so you can finish any last minute shopping.
You can enter as many times as you want, and will receive extra credit if you twitter or mention this on your blog. Also, if you do 20 jumping jacks and 15 boy pushups, I'll double your entries. (not really.)
(Also, please let me know if you are really in need. )
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Walmart. In addition, I received a Walmart gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate and two to offer as a giveaway.”
This is so cool of you. I hope someone who really needs lucks out. It's rough this year for so many folks. We're stuck in a hotel (ugh!) - but thank Heavens for that. Volunteering at the Women's shelter here to help serve Xmas dinner and pass out gifts this year and it really makes you gracious for what you do have. Good luck everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is cool. I'll have to really look into that website. I'm always looking for affordable meals.
ReplyDeleteComment! And I'll retwitter your tweet.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like there are some terrific recipes there! I bookmarked it!
ReplyDeleteOk, it's on my six word saturday blog post!
ReplyDeleteI'm good to go for the holidays... if I win I will tell you what organization I'd like the gift card taken to. :-) I called home and requested that my mom make my favorite cookies... they are a shortbread/nut cookie rolled and cut filled with chocolate frosting. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit how this would help. That New Year's Eve party looks darn delish.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm in! I'm already dreaming of the supplies I can get for my classroom with that $30....
ReplyDeleteOh yes, should I win, you know I will be spending it on my classroom.
ReplyDeleteThose recipes are good and cheap too. Who knew Walmart would do recipes? Makes sense...
Wow, I didn't even realize Walmart had a Baking Center. That's fantastic. I'm on my way to check out the recipes.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win and give the card to our local org. that helps families in need. Just last night I was lamenting that fact that people have been donating half eaten bags of chips.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win, it would definetly help strech our ever shrinking growing budget. There are some tasty loking recipes on that site! We always have perogis on Christmas Eve, I am hoping one year to not be pregnant or have an infant so I can attempt to make them my hand, but until than, Kasia's it is!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat site...I looked at the Dulce Leche on top of the pumpkin pie - who knew it came in a can??? I would love a gift card. Gotta be honest - I wouldn't donate it anywhere else, nor use it for my classroom. I would use it on gifts for my 14 year old son.
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Julie and I am a Walmart junkie. I'm not ashamed. I'll stop back in at their site for a more in depth look at the recipes, but I have to admit, I'm an old-fashioned browse the aisles, impulse buying, hoarder. I'm pretty lucky to have a nice Superwalmart just a few miles away.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a lot, but I'm a pretty savvy shopper, so I make do with what I have. I'd love to win this gift card for my mom. She's retired and takes care of my little bro who has special needs. I'd give it to her to help stretch her grocery budget, but knowing her she'd spend it on a little extra something to go under the tree for my brother. They are both special people!
ReplyDeleteHope you all really enjoy the holiday you celebrate!
oh... and I retweeted :-)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many people in need this year. I'm a recovering alcoholic, so there's ALWAYS someone that needs something in my life. I was very fortunate to still have my family when I got sober. Other people? Not so much.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the gift card but I would probably not use it on the dinner...probably toys for my two year old! And maybe one for my older child (aka my hubby!)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...and I wrote about it on my blog over at http://lifeintheslowlane-kendra.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-time.html.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I don't want the card. If I win, it goes for things for others in need. I honestly just wanted to see if I could put my life into six words. What are they?
ReplyDeleteHealed,ready,scared, excited and tired.
Okay so I am a Walmart ho...and those chipolte mashed potatoes look awesome!
ReplyDeletelMnop
I really do need WalMart money. Enter me, please!
ReplyDeleteAgain! Hope you didn't use that taped stick yet!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I shop there every day. Do I really have to see how wonderful their store is online? I mean, I buy EVERYTHING at WAlMart...
ReplyDeleteYou said as much as humanly possible, right? $20 at WalMart is a week of food, after all...
ReplyDeleteOk, ok. One more comment. $20 is about 8 gallons of milk... My kids drink about a gallon a day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder tweet... I didn't realize the giveaway was still open. So the holidays have come and gone and my little bro got new clothes under the tree but nothing super-fun. Surely, a boy deserves a little fun in his life? He loves gift cards & thinks it's a pretty big deal to go the store, pick out whatever he wants, and pay with his own money (gift card.) This would make his day. Thanks again for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteand another retweet for you!
ReplyDeleteHappy (Almost) New Year!
Oh NUTS! I just wandered over here and see you've practically titled this post the same as my most recent post - or I did the same as you. Honestly, I think we were on the same wavelength. But I just wanted to let you know I didn't read this first, then run home and use the same title. Either way - whew - my subject matter is totally different and, well, I love Walmart too. :)
